NAKHODA BOOKS is an independent publisher that explores literary and cultural knowledge from around the world, with special focus on Malay literature and the Nusantara heritage.
We derived our name "nakhoda" from the Malay/Indonesian word of Farsi (Persian) origin that means captain or leader/lord of a ship.

TSURU ARTS is an arts and charity initiative by Nakhoda Books. Inspired by Japanese cultural arts, we specially curate items that serve to spread the message of peace, hope, and healing.
20% of all sales from TSURU ARTS will be donated to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
